How many TBers play Ukulele?

I just order my first soprano Ukulele. I pretty excited to start learning it. Its portable, and fun. Ive never seen an upset Uke player...Plus I like the idea of having something I can take with me just about anywhere.

Just curious how many people actually play one?

Off topic, but I met this guy last year. Pretty damn amazing on the Ukulele. His name is Jake Shimabukuro.

Yeah it's hard to be pissed off when you're playing one.

Fraid I don't. Is a mandolin close enough? I play a pretty mediocre mandolin but it's a ball at campfires.

I got one last year for my birthday. I should really get back into it so I play music everywhere I want.

and i agree with the whole not being upset when you play. It's like seeing someone upset on a pogostick. Or as a Daniel Tosh says, a jet ski.

I do, a bit. I know a couple of chords and can pop out a shoddy version of House of the Rising Sun and that's about it.

I've got a purple Mahalo one that I got for £15.

I do, but not much. My brother bought one for me as a gift. He's been playing it for a while and was looking for someone to play with. I'm the only guy in the entire family who play music instruments, so he got me one. it's a yellow Mahalo.

I played pretty seriously from around 2000-2005. Still have a couple, but don't really pick it up anymore. Great, fun instrument though.
