And back on topic, I'm not sure I could be considered a player anymore, more of a closet wanker, my playing is perpetually on hold untill I can get back into some lessons.

LajoieT summed me up as well "closet wanker"  I just really noodle around on the bass when the mood hits me..could be a few hours, or a few months..who knows  At some point I'd like to try and take lessons again or atleast find a drummer to jam with.

They are grown men, and should be able to do this themselves and it frustrates me to a degree to have few challenges presented by others.
I did play bass for a number of years in an earlier version of the band and I enjoyed it much.
