Question How much should I charge per bass track?

Sign in to disble this ad
I got this email from a guy wanting me to add bass tracks to his songs. He said that its a paid job, now I'm very eager to play in the tracks, I dont want to pick a price that will drive him away, I'm not very greedy too, so I'm not gonna ask for alot.

I'm fairly new to this so I dont know how much I should ask for per song.

Treat it like any other job and charge a rate per hour. What's your time worth?

Then paypal me the money. I could use some cash.

How many tracks does he want? just one? I vote for the hourly rate.

Are you responsible for creating the bass parts or are they already created for you? Are they notated? Is there a demo that you're working from with a basic bass part already included?
