How is the music scene in Dallas/Fort Worth?

Specifically the indie rock scene? Obviously Austin is the Mecca of indie bands but I imagine some of that must spill over to the other bigger cities in Texas.

I'm not really planning on moving, but my company (my wife and I both work there) has a major operation in Fort Worth, so it wouldn't be hard to move if we were able to sell our house (that would be the hardest part.) And frankly, I am pretty bored with the Omaha music scene.

I'm not entirely experienced with the DFW scene, but north of Dallas is Denton, Texas. It's home to University of North Texas, which has one of the best music programs in the state. As such, there is a lot of college indie rock around there.
