I learned it when I was 12 on guitar and bass, and learned the solo proper at 15. And no, at the time I didn't understand what was going on musically and I don't think Eddie did either.

Back in the day when my highlight was a Nautilus workout followed by about 3 hours of pinball-
Mt 2 idiot friends/running mates would play this tune on the Juke Box non-stop...just to piss me off.

And they would always ask. "Can you play this, Jim"? or "Funky enough for you, Jim"?


(Fun times!).
