Made the switch from guitar at 20 years old which is when music all of a sudden became a priority in my life.

18...one friend had a guitar, one friend had drums. Seemed obvious i would learn bass. Ironically, they asked me "not" to play with them most of the time, when i joined the marines , after drinking my paycheck, i would spend all my time woodshedding in my barracks room. 4 years later, meet up again, those guys sound the same, i'm much better than previously, and I passed on playing with them, were still friends, but I was motivated by their responses and advanced past their level. Now 9 years later, i'm still trying to get better, it's a never ending quest

I started playing at 15. The only other instrument I have ever played was the violin, and I only played for about a year when I was 8.

Started bass and guitar at 20 although I had played both clarinet and organ in my younger years.
