How to post a picture ( stupid i know )

Hiya i know this a very stupid question but how do you post a picture that is not on the web allready. I have a couple of pictures of my new bass and there on my hard drive can post them on here without having them on the web allready if so can u tell me how to do it

or use photobucket.com
