Hypothetical question about ordering a new Fender

Sign in to disble this ad
I see that that places are having this add-on thing going on with new Fender basses now. Like MF has the bass amp that comes free with purchase. I'm wondering, if you get something free with purchase and you don't like the bass and return it within the 45 days, do you also need to return the amp as well since it is technically a free item? I would think you would, but I was just wondering what other people's thoughts were on it.

the free item is on condition that you buy the non free item......and it's not really free...if they were giving out tee shirts or key fobs they may let you slide

I was just curious since there's nothing on their site that says anything about it. I've noticed this kind of thing before and always kind of wondered.

TBer LCW bought a Jaguar bass, with a free amp, and the Jag arrived broken, he got to return it, for full refund, but was allowed to keep the amp, FWIW.

Considering the circumstances, that doesn't surprise me too much. Was he going to get a new Jaguar?

Don't know, probably not likley, but I don't know what stock US music stores keep, but if an offer is refunded, you'd think that goes for the "whole" offer.

I would think so too, but I just wondered if anybody had actually had any experience with it.

The only experience I know of is LCW's, to be honest, I wouldn't count on keeping the amp, but I'd take a shot at it, if it were a possibility.
