I play my best(melodic style) when I'm sad, espically if I'm playin' fretless.

I can improv, but can't play funk or metal, only chill stuff like reggae

I literally thought I had blown my Fender Rumble 100's speaker, as well as my stereo speakers, playing "Master of Puppets" at nearly full volume.

I was angry as hell, and played several songs, but my volume somehow kept going up - I don't really remember turning it up, but by the time I was done, the recessed lights in the ceiling were shaking, I shifted a heat lamp and started burning the wood tank, and knocked my pizza straight to the floor...

...All of which pissed me off even more...

I generally break strings when I get mad, and try to play, which makes me even more mad!!!

I can play sad but usually I just mope around feeling sorry for myself and chain smoking instead. As for not being able to play stoned. I honestly can't remember the last time I picked up my bass sober. Not saying that I couldn't play straight but I haven't in a very long time. Maybe I'll give it a whirl sometime.

I play better when I'm sad. I have a very difficult time playing when I'm angry.

yeh, it's hard to lay back on a groove when i'm angry.

when i'm sad, i actually can play - well, noodle around or jam - for four or five hours at a time.

Playing makes me feel better when I'm sad, and most of the stuff that comes out is very melodic, though definitely very dark sounding.

When I'm mad... Well, let's just say it's good for me that there's no such thing as Bass Protection Services...

I generally don't feel like playing too much if I'm sad, but those times you should actually write songs... I can't say I can't play when I'm sad, but perhaps it's more difficult to concentrate on it then.

If I'm angry, there's nothing like playing drums. Loudly. Same if I have a hungover. (That's true actually! ) It's just sad I don't have a drumset. Playing bass is too little physical work for those angry moments...

booze is both goos and bad, there's point where i forget about who there and i just go for stuff, which turns out great i can never record stuff like that at practice sober, but there gets to a point where i'm just too plastered to even play smoke on the water.
