Isn't annoying when people say 'i always thought the bass was easier' or 'it's easy'. Well today i got, you play bass? I could play bass if i wanted, it just the same as guitar but lower, and easier.

I was like hmmm thanks.

Eh, so what? Let them get a bass, then make themselves look like an idiot.

Ask him to play some Dream Theater songs on bass. Like Dance of Eternity or Erotomania. That'll shut him up.

Tell him that he's right, those three-chord songs by Green Day are awful difficult. No way you could possibly learn that.

Here we go again. Been through this too many time, but what the hell - I'll play again.

You have 3 days to teach someone who's never touched a guitar or a bass 5 complete R&R songs and have them be able to play them convincingly with a band. If you succeed you will win $1,000,000. Your choice. Teach them guitar, or teach them bass. If you choose guitar, you're an idiot.

Bass is easier.

Very true.

However, it is best to not let statements like these bother you. Focus on being the best player you can be and just Bring The RAWK (or jazz or whatever)!

yeah, bass is easier sometimes, until you get decent and try to learn some wooten/jaco, then it gets a little complicated. they're both equal, i play guitar, i play bass, neither is harder than the other, until you get to the fast fretted stuff, then i'd MUCH rather be the guitarist.

which is easier to eat the apple or the orange.

Who cares if it is easier or not. We all have our reasons for playing bass. Personally I liked the sound and how its played. It feels good in my hands. Even if it was easier to play than orchestral triangle I'd still play it for those reasons.

actually an apple is easier to begin eating than an orange, but oranges in the end are easier.

with an apple you can begin biting right away, but is usually firm and takes quite a bit of chewing. with an orange you must peel off the top layer and then the inside is very soft and only takes a few weak chews per bite to swallow.

at first apples ( bass ) are easier, but in the end it is the orange ( guitar ) that is easiest.

Playing the bass is like eating an apple! Why did I never think of that?!

The easiest one to eat is the one you think tastes the best

Piano is easy too, you just push the black keys and the white keys at the right time.
