Hi,
Lookin' for a new strap. I'm sick of this 'looping through the hole' crap. Can someone point me to a company that makes great straps that look cool and can adjust very easily???
Thanks |

| | | | Go to the local leather store and buy a nice long belt blank and a belt buckle. You can stain it whatever color you like. You can even have them punch the holes for you at the store.

Though it's too thick for the straplocks I tried and there doesn't seem to be enough room to fit it and a beer bottle washer on the peg. And also its size makes it get in the way if you have a multi-guitar stand. But that's not a real complaint.
I would like to try a Couch strap sometime. Sometime when I can make myself pay $60 for a strap instead of saving it for a pedal.

Very comfortable but it came apart in the middle of band practice and flung my bass across the room. Luckily I was holing on to the neck so I saved it from actually getting thrown.
As soon as I got home I broke out the sewing kit, and stitched it together. As an added measure put some duct tape around the stitching. Hasn't come apart since.

The cotton weave grips just enough to balance out any slight weight issues, and is soft enough so as to not dig into the shoulder. They will not do the spin around the body thing, but I don't do that anyway...
I think at this time I own about eight of them.

I currently own this, and hell it is great. A little bit expensive (60 bucks) but I don't think I will buy another strap in at least 20 years... Added a set of Fender/Schaller strap locks and all of my problems are solved.
