Hi,
Lookin' for a new strap. I'm sick of this 'looping through the hole' crap. Can someone point me to a company that makes great straps that look cool and can adjust very easily???

Thanks

Wide leather strap with sheepskin lining. comfy. No idea what brand, it's about 15 years old.

I make my own straps at work. Hand stitched, made of the finest leather. And no adjustments... they are made the right size.

Go to the local leather store and buy a nice long belt blank and a belt buckle. You can stain it whatever color you like. You can even have them punch the holes for you at the store.

Comfort Strapp

yes i want 200plus dollar custom sewn multi layer leather with hand hewn and custom stained stamped imbossed cowboy type styled leather straps,,,,

but i have to post up>--=)>the Comfort Strapp i have on my P Bass, blows out the other 3 straps i have aboard and all other straps i've owned(for the money it DOES),i have a really nice 3 inch wide yak fur lined and holy water embossed leather strap from eBay(no,not truly yak fur or holy water embossed but man!,sounds good don't it)

and it cuts into the side of my neck,so what MAY look good may not be good(i understand your post here,,now if i could get the old saddlemaker dude in town to get off the couch and i had mucho cash to have built what i want=I'D HAVE MINE),,

but i have YOURS instead,,dwink more wine, dime it out and put some salve on your neck you'll be fine

yep, straps,,,some just fit YOU,others are'for sale' that's the way it is

Mine is made of metal and weights like 8 pounds. No, I'm not joking.

I have a 4" Levy's stap and while it could be a bit longer (I'm 6'7"), it is very comfortable and doesn't require me to counter any neck dive -- it does all that work.

Though it's too thick for the straplocks I tried and there doesn't seem to be enough room to fit it and a beer bottle washer on the peg. And also its size makes it get in the way if you have a multi-guitar stand. But that's not a real complaint.

I would like to try a Couch strap sometime. Sometime when I can make myself pay $60 for a strap instead of saving it for a pedal.

I got a seat belt nylon strap and I love it! It doesn't get stuck on my shirt when I slide my bass up and down. The company is Jacque..9/10

+1. ive used the 2" for 15 years. they just came out with a 3". i bought it for myself for father's day. it does distribute the weight of my bass a bit better, but i still like the 2" better. now i have one of each. yay.

I can't remember what brand my strap is but it's super cheap, made of suede, and is a two piece. Very comfortable but it came apart in the middle of band practice and flung my bass across the room. Luckily I was holing on to the neck so I saved it from actually getting thrown.

As soon as I got home I broke out the sewing kit, and stitched it together. As an added measure put some duct tape around the stitching. Hasn't come apart since.

I like the straps from Franklin that are black cotton weave with suede ends. I think they are 2.5 inches wide. I put dunlop strap locks on all of them.

The cotton weave grips just enough to balance out any slight weight issues, and is soft enough so as to not dig into the shoulder. They will not do the spin around the body thing, but I don't do that anyway...

I think at this time I own about eight of them.

Levy's

This is the best strap ever...
I currently own this, and hell it is great. A little bit expensive (60 bucks) but I don't think I will buy another strap in at least 20 years... Added a set of Fender/Schaller strap locks and all of my problems are solved.
