Stealing is to me the most repulsive sin.
For drug money they smash my car and steal my livelyhood.

I hate that. I remember the sort of sinking feeling that one gets upon seeing that their car window has been smashed. Make sure to post descriptions of your gear all over the net. Maybe you can get it back.

Best of Luck,

my car was stolen back in september. amazingly enough, the police located it about a month ago. my peavey tko 115 combo had been in the trunk and sadly was gone when i went to pick the car up. but my bowling ball and a nice pair of dress shoes were still in the car! i will miss that old trusty combo (my first amp) but i got a great deal on an ampeg 115 and it sounds way better than the peavey.

by your 'livelyhood' i assume they took something related to your job/profession? are you a pro musician? what exactly did they take?

We had out van broken into touring in Montreal once. We were lucky and it must have been some kids, cause all they did was smash the windows, slash the tires and left our equiptment alone.

Nonetheless, we were stranded in Montreal for a few days.

short list of gear taken. my guitar, my pedal case with pedals, drum hardware bag (whole kits worth of hardware, stool and kick pedal included) a snare, Stick bag (small but over $450 wprth of sticks, mallets, brushes, clutches etc) digital camera, cds, and most sadly, my external harddrive. 1000s+ hours of work gone into that....

estimated replacement value, approx $2200. THANK GOD MY LAPTOP, CYMBALS OR BASS WERE NOT IN CAR AT THE TIME.

I'm presuming that there are pawn shops in your fine nation like we have here in the U.S. I'd be scouring all of the local pawn shops as quickly as possible if I were you. I'm sorry that this happened to you. This sort of crime makes you sick, and you wish all sorts of nasty evil on whoever did it. Maybe Singapore is onto something for using caning on their lowlife theives and hoodlums.

I hope you have serial numbers and other documentation on your gear. Do you have any sort of insurance that may offset a little bit of the damage? I wish you the best, and I hope you can recover quickly from the loss of this stupid crime.

Great news!!! How and where did the cops find them? I'm happy for you as so many victims of this stupid sort of crime rarely recover anything, let alone see the theif or theives caught. Good news indeed; I hope you can find the rest of your stuff as well.
