I have a dilemma.

I only have 1 good 9v battery on me. My fretless takes a 9v because it's active. I really want to play my fretless now.

However, my metronome also requires a 9v battery.

Do I...

Play my fretless without a metronome.

Play my passive bass with a metronome.

[strike]Go to the store and buy another 9v battery.[/strike] Carrots.

Also. Strike tags don't work. Pretend I crossed that part out.

Put that battery in your bass, and go to this site, providing you have speakers on your computer. http://www.metronomeonline.com/

No, I use headphones.

Otherwise I would have downloaded drum tracks and a bunch of other crap.

Actually, I should probably figure out how to change between headphones and speakers without unplugging anything. Or how to plug my bass into my computer. =/

EDIT:

I just remember that my instructor gave me a CD with a bunch of Bernard Purdie drum tracks.

Ah, that sucks, then.

To connect the bass to the computer, I just plug a 1/8" cable direct to the speakers, put a 1/4" adapter on the end, so this way, I can jam on my computer speakers, while listening to my music. Would it be possible to run the computer's sound through your amp, so to hear the metronome? All you need is again, a 1/8" plug cable, and a 1/4" adapter, accompanied by a 2 for 1, and you're set.

- Though you may not have the cables, so just crank the sound, ti'll you can hear it from the headphones. I just seem to have piles of cables mying around, so I like to mess aroung, and connect stuff together....I have no life

Carrots are the way to go on this one.

Always keep spare batteries, nothing worse than having one die during rehearsal or a gig and not having a spare!
