I hope UPS does me right.

I just pulled the trigger on a Euro 4LX that's being delivered by UPS. I swear as God almighty is my witness that if UPS damages my 15 year long awaited Spector, I will personally shove that brown truck so far up thier keister, they will forever be a hood ornament!

UPS, IME, is a lot safer than Fedex. When I received my Skyline Glaub back in febuary, via Fedex, there was a 3" diameter hole on one side the the neck.

It looked like either a forklift stabbed the box or someone put their foot through it, a mere 3-4" from the neck of the bass, which was in a gig bag. That one had me sweating while opening the box.

Never had a problem with UPS, and I'll only ship using it. That one time with Fedex was enough!

I've read all the horror stories about all the shipping services. I work for the USPS and I've seen parcels being thrown around so I know it happens everywhere. I'm sure Beaver and the guys at Bass Central pack their instruments well so I'm actually confident, but there's that little bit of worry in the back of my mind. I have a gig this Saturday and it's supposed to be here Friday. I'm hoping to break it out since nobody knows I bought it yet. It'll be a nice surprise!

The only time I've had a problem with UPS was when they dropped my new computer parts on my porch, while I was standing right there. My monitor has a nice big dent on one of the corners now

If you're getting it from Beaver...it'll be fine. The guys down there pack stuff really well.

+1 on this. I know there's been a lot of horror stories on these boards about UPS but for what its worth I've bought basses, guitars, and amps and never had a single issue with UPS.
