I just got a gig with Van Morrison's Daughter

Sign in to disble this ad
Yup, her name is Shana Morrison, and She, like her Pop, is an accomplished musician. She writes in a bluesy, Sophie B. Hawkins meets Amiee Mann sorta style, and she is going to be touring the East Coast area in August...my group (plus our good friend Scott Riciutti from area power pop monsters "Huck") will be her backing band for these dates!

Very cool opportunity, as I love trying new genres of music, and want to play in front of alot of new faces I might not have reached otherwise. Pretty cool, so keep a lookout in the New England area for the name Shana Morrison.

Check out more info on her website:
http://shanamorrison.com/

Hope to see some of you there. More info to follow.

Too bad there's only Canadian/Great British shows, or else i'd definately check it out!

Great opportunity, though. That should be awesome and definately boost your band's popularity!

Way cool, Mon!

Do you think you guys will make it to NYC?

I'd love to catch you guys.

Mike

Thanks a ton guys!

To answer yer question, I'd LOVE to play in NYC, and I think that is in the "cards" actually...I'd honestly just love to play anywhere...do some new cities, ya know? The more new faces the better! It's been a long while since we've had a proper road trip....

I will keep ya guys posted, definitely...I think for now, it's two extendo-weekends in August (Thurs-Sunday or something) but I'd love it to be more.

Hi Mike!

I'm fine, what about you?

I was (and still am) internet-less for a while, but it should change soon!

Status Quo; everything's OK.

Can you still get PMs?

If so, I'll PM you later.

Mike

Just a little bump (mainly for Mr. Jewels) that I will be performing with Shana, on Aug. 1st, at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY, openning up for Rare Earth, and Eric Burdon & the Animals!!!!

If Mike or anyone else in the area can make it, I'd LOVE to meet you.

Take care.
Ron
