I wasn't sure where to post this. My guitarist is still waiting for the music store to order the guitar he wants so hes been playing my black strat for a while. Recently he had cut off the tip of his finger so he hasn't been able to play or work until he has recovered. He asked if he could paint the guitar to keep him from going bored and I told him do do what he wanted with it. so he took it and this is what he brought to me today. Purple pickguard, mostly black hardware now, some sick house of color paint that changes colors, from purple to green to a silverish gold color. The skulls are awesome, I want him to paint my other guitars. I wasn't expecting something so cool; the pictures don't do it justice because I had a really hard time getting pictures of the other colors(had to turn the flash off for one pic). Tell me what you think; hes thinking about doing this for folks as a side thing.

This is what it looks like before you notice the color changing paint.

Not exactly the color I saw with my eyes...

The green color(really really bad pic, no flash).

EDIT:
It looked like this before, reference pic

Looks awesome and I love the purple. He does this for a hobby? It looks totally professional to me.

We were saying he could make some money doing it. Yes he does this for a hobby. He painted everything, clear coated it, and wet sanded everything with 1000 grit sand paper. I will take it outside tomorrow and see if I can get some good pictures.
