Great stuff...

Bassists rig:

Mesa 400+ times 3 (4?)
Ampeg 6x10 times 2
SWR 410 (Bertha line...)
SWR 1x15 (Or 1x18? another bertha)

Assorted P's and J's...

And he was a lefty. And he strung them in reverse. ***? The basses were right-side-up... just string weird.

And the guitarist..

Steve Stevens... Les Pauls, Marshall Cabs, 3 peavey 5150's...

Good show.

Oh, and the bassist was awsome. And the guitarist was amazing, And you could actually hear the barse.

"Mony mony... mony mony... "HEY MOTHER ****** GET LAID GET ******"

good show.

Steve Stevens is one of the best, and most underrated guitar slingers ever.

That would have been great. I don't think Billy will be playing any Australian rugby league grand finals for a while though

Can I get an amen? Stevens absolutely slays. I didn't realize Idol still toured.

Was Black Light Syndrome the project Stevens did with Bozzio and Levin? Whatever it was, it was very cool.

If any of you get the chance to see the billy idol episode of Vh-1's "story tellers", you must do so! SS puts a workout on that acoustic that is must see to believe. I only got to see part of it once, but would buy a copy just to see it again.

Like I said, I didn;t get to see the whole show, just the last half or so. He didn;t do any solo's that I can recall, but he was amazing both as a rhythm player (compensating multi-parts at once), and ripping off the shredding leads on an acoustic!

PS, this thread just reminded me to check the bay to see if a copy of that show is still available.

DVD order placed!

I have a copy of the Billy Idol Storytellers DVD. If you like his stuff, you must buy a copy. Billy is a great storyteller and Steve Stevens is AMAZING.

Were you close enough to see him snarl. It's so threatening and cute.
