I know this aint too much to do with bass, but I'm a bassist so.....Phantom power????

I've a li'l Yamaha PA-powered mixer-just a small 4 ch. one-150watts, that hasn't got phantom power & so I can't use my Sure beta 87- something....-it's a condensor mic & needs phantom power. SO..... Question, amp guys:- any wau of adding phantom power to this desk -easily???? OR is there any 'pedal' or similar that I can use? It'd be great to use it, coz at the Moment I can't use this desk with my fave mic at rehearsal. & I really need to rehearse WITH this mic. BUT don't wanna have to DRAG the BIG, HEAVY DYNACORD 16 ch. desk there!!!! ANYONE???????? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll need something like that or a similar device. I think the phrase to use in a search engine would be something like "phantom power adaptor"

I haven't used that exact brand, but those cheaper ones are quite the same.

just get a phantom power supply. rolls makes them, and livewire. they're usually about 30 or 40 dollars USD, which is... let's see... about 900 AUS?

Alternatively, you could buy a mic preamp - they provide phantom power, as well as EQ and a quality you wont find on that board.
