Me. But then again I'm 35 and grew up on Master Of Puppets while everyone else was listening to Poison.

I like them a lot.

I don't see how they sound like Metallica. They don't sound similar to me whatsoever.

They rock!

When they use chords they use them differently than Metallica, but their songs are built around the Metallica chug (of the first 4 albums and 3 EPs of course).

I really dont know why they got tagged as trying to copy Metallica. The riffs are harder, and they use different chordal patterns.

Does anybody want numbers? I wasnt planning to, but I can if you want.

what chug?...talk about fussy.

If your being that precise, almost every metal band is "copying" metallica.
The problem is that one critique somewhere made the accusation and then all of the die hard metallica fans jumped on it.

The Crusade (album) is ok, I own it and occasionally even listen to it, but everything else Trivium has made sucks big time

Trivium? Is that an element like Palladium or Iridium?

Or is it slang for something too trivial to pay attention to?

I love all their albums, I just think of each one as different band. They are also amazing live, they all have really good stage presence.

Pilgrim:
I have no idea what it means, not one bit.
EDIT: I just looked it up in an A4 1200 page dictionary, It means "a place where 3 ways meet, cross-road, public street" then it says that quadrivium is where 4 ways meet.

The name is pretty lame now. But the music still rocks

I used to hate them, then liked them for a little while. Then I hated again. I just listened to them again after a long time and have come to conclusion. While they are not great, they are not as terrible as people make them to be. Sure they are metalcore, which is sacrilege to many metalheads. Sure they are the idols of many adolescent posers. Sure they are insanely popular. But all of that aside, they are still alright. They are significantly better than most other metalcore/mainstream "metal" I have heard.

Yep. Metallica or Fear Factory. Haven't heard anything original since.
