Justin Chancellor is the only exception in my book of a good modern pick player, but his left hand technique is junk.

The fact that he plays a Wal makes up for the bad technique.

My Son the geetar player dialed in several good JC patches on my Zoom B2.1u. Now I can rock like a MoFo with my T-40 set on CLANGY

As far as I am aware he is an Atheist, which kind of knocks that one on the head.

Is it just me, or does every bassist alive know that one Tool song Schism? Every time I hear another bassist in this city noodling around that song comes up...

Probably because it's a nifty bass line. Personally, I'll stick with my recycled Stooges riffs...

I have to admit, I wasn't into 10000 Days at all. I tried. I really did. That's cool though. Good on em for trying to push themselves musically.

Sorry dude... after repeated listening, nothing on that album really resonated. Could be that I've never been a fan of proggy, mathy kind of stuff.

+1

I hated that album. I love all of the other albums, I know each one through and through, but I thought 10,000 Days just sucked.

I wish they'd sound a little more like early Tool, and a little less like Dream Theater. I hate Dream Theater. I have no respect for a band that literally laughed at the idea of writing a song in 4/4.

Meh. Was a fan for a while until I realised basically every era of Tool sounds the same.
And yeah, 10000 Days sucked bad. I saw them live once, they were okay.

Probably, but they're trying to break down barriers over there and this thread isn't seeking to get equal housing for everyone, so I'm not sure it'll work out.

Not a big fan of much rock...

Someone told me that they will stop playing if people start moshing at their show.

Can anyone confirm this? I am just curious.

not sure about that, but I do know that Maynard James Keenan will lay a beatdown on whomever tries to hug him while he's in the middle of performing.

When I saw the title, I thought the homosexuality thread had made someone to come out of the closet
