Dam guitars players getting lazier and lazier, now they want the guitar to tune its self.

But seriously I played this before and it just seems kinds heavy with all the little add ons and that little tuning knob seemed sucky if you needed to do some quick on the spot tuning at a gig.

I do like that green finish... it would look better on a P, though.

I love gibsons silverburst and the metallic green, but there is no way in hell I'm spending almost three grand a on a guitar that can tune its self, buy a guitar, then invest into a tuner pedal or a regual tuner, lazy asses.

That's pretty much what those guitars go for WITHOUT the fancy tuning stuff.

They'd make one for bass players, but there'd be too many complaints.

Gibson is so overrated and overpriced.

I recently tried both a Studio LP and a Standard SG, both at around $1500 +/- and they looked, felt and played like a bad budget guitar. Ended up buying a Schecter C-1 A/E for $700 and it looks, feel and plays like a custom in comparison.

Although Gibson Custom Shop can be nice, but at $3000+. . . I don't think so.

And the automatic tuning. . . I mean, if you need a robotic system to keep your guitar in tune, you and your guitar have a problem.

I agree. As much as I personally don't like tuning, if you can't do it yourself, you have a problem.

Everything is becoming obsolete in this day and age. Machines are replacing everything. Bankers, candy-vendors, cashiers, etc.
I, for one, am going to try to keep SOMETHING in the hands of human beings. Take that machines!

I still think the idea is awesome, as some of you might know, alternate tunings can really come in handy on guitar, that's why some guitar players have lots of axes on stage, if they bought one of those, they just might not have to any more!

my custom shop les paul only cost $1900, and after 5 years, it's still the best set neck guitar i've ever played...i picked mine from 11 of the same model when i bought it

i've played some bad gibsons and some great gibsons, just like most any other brands i've played

It has nothing to do with laziness, guys. I mean, yes, it can tune itself, but if you are in the middle of a song and after a solo with a lot of bending, or an intentional down-tune, etc, you're a bit out of tune, this can fix itself much faster than you can. Also, it lets you do alternate tunings on the fly. It really does have a purpose!

Anyway, Joe, I know you're kidding, but don't do it!!
