Why is it in hotel California a song with so much feel, how the hell do you get a random guitar solo then bass tapping then bass slapping then a guitar bass slapping jam then go back to the main solo, it just doesn't work it looks ridicules. They totally butchered the solo.

That may be the strangest cover I have ever seen.

Excessive yes, but while I am an no fan of tapping and slap solos, at least they kept to the spirit of the song. I think that is one of the better all out wanking solos I have seen. YMMV.

You know what? I f'n LOVED that. Well...except for the beginning of the bass solo. But the rest, and the unison part, were really, really well done and a nice exploration. Sick.

I don't know I really think another song would fit what they did a lot better. I'm not saying it wasn't good (because it was) I'm just saying it was in the wrong place.

The whole song started to come apart after 2 minutes into it.

Japanese band

That guitarist.. never seen one look so silly. He's got chops but LOL all the same.

The whole solo thing really kills the song, I agree. Either way, there is no feeling put in that song, the whole cover, while technically great, still kinda sucks.

WTH?!?!?! Looks like dad, in the back on keys, can't control his rebel kids!! Bars, Parties and Weddings are not appropriate places for wankfests! If I was the bar owner, I woulda told them to pack up and leave! Geez, they took it to the 'HNL' (wHole 'Nuther Level)! LMAO!

I mean, it is a bar band playing Hotel California, after all. If I had to play that song faithfully and correctly everytime, I would go insane.

I hate that song (by now) and I don't particularly enjoy '80s-style wanking, but I give them credit for having some fun, and the kids can play, so, thumbs up from me.

Yeah, but it's still not the appropriate time and place for a shredfest! I'm sorry, again if I was the bar owner, I would not have been happy! You could see how uncomfortable dad was!!

I think that was fun to watch. But one time was enough. If they did the same in all songs I'd have skipped the rest of the show.

The bassist was quite good, but there were some dead spots in his solos between the licks he just put up one after the other. It was too much show-offing and not very melodical.... The show-offing was also done on the expense of the timing, that was a bit poor at some places.

+1 When watching I assumed that this was their *one* wankfest song. I think it is allowable to have one song where the band really stretches out. If all the songs where like that......

The only part I think was VERY out of purpose was the slap part of the bass solo.

The tapping intro of the bass solo was a bit sloppy, which was a shame because it could have been a nice trick.

The unison part is great, but too many fireworks out there.

Guitar solo wasnt bad until he started playing faster and faster . Didnt care for the bass solo at all . Tapping and Slapping on a Eagles song? Come on.

+1 The duelling slapping and the unison parts were great, and the guitarist is clearly awesome.

I thought this was much better than the solo "battle" or whatever you wish to call it between Victor and Regie (Reggie? Reggy? Re-chi? Retchy?) Wooten.
