I go through phases. In and out of listening to them. I'm headlong in the middle of another phase. Listening to all my shows. Sigh. I miss these guys. I loved watching these guys live. Just throwing out a thought. Some reunion tours are ridiculous. But this is one reunion that I'd definitely welcome. |

It wasnt just them though. The lightstick wars and the atmophere. Ill be the first to state I hate hippies, but that was a good time. |

What I really miss is Brent era Grateful Dead.

It was musicians, old dudes, young dudes, fathers with their kids, brothers, sisters, heavy metal dudes, punkers, fraternity dorks, tweakers, stoners, hippies, weirdos, geeks, nerds, and everyone else and their brother at those shows. Each one with a smile on their face. |

I've had friends that would just follow them around to show after show after show. It was intoxicating. |

And I have a 5# fillet of mahi mahi in my refrigerator in my office right now that is marinating in hoegarden, whole peppercorns, sea salt, worcestershire sauce, and orange juice...it smells great and will be cooked on the grill this evening with some compadres...

Big Cypress was a freaking blast!

Never could get into them. I do respect them as musicians though.

What I really miss is Brent era Grateful Dead. | That was the year of my first show too. Dave Mathews opened. It was before either of them were big.
Brent was my favorite Dead keyboardist. He was great on vocal harmonies too. |

My favorite way to start off a sunny summer day is to throw on Day 1, Set 1 of their IT festival. The moment AC/DC Bag kicks in, I'm in for a good day!
A reunion tour will be very welcomed. I don't care where in the country the first show is, the moment I found out I'm buying tickets and a flight. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
