I need advice..

So I recently join a serious band which plays mostly classic rock.. No problem with the band whatsoever and we learned 30 songs in a span of 3 rehearsals the only thing is I'm leaning toward learning jazz and I wanna focus on just jazz.. What do you think I should do? Quit the band and focus on learning Jazz and try joining a jazz band or stay in the rock band?

I know its my decision but If you were in my shoes what do you guys would do?

Do both. They are very different and being able to play both will make you a better musician, more marketable, and perhaps you'll even work more often.

If you have to ask a question like that I think you already answered yourself, "you want to learn jazz and focus on jazz" so if your playing CR sooner or later your gonna be unhappy wasting your time learning and playing and practicing something your not happy with, my advice, leave the CR band and follow your heart and hands and go for the jazz. I wish you luck in whatever you choose.

Do both. Best solution, you'll learn a lot.

Do both. You learned 30 songs in 3 sessions, so the classic rock thing is probably not too demanding, and you should have plenty of time left for your main focus

Don't you have to be able to read charts and stuff to play jazz? If you can't do that then don't bother joining a jazz group until you can.

Well around here you wont find many jazz gigs, if cash is important to you.
No reason you can't do both either.
Good luck,
Dirk

If you have to pick one or the other, you can make money or you can play jazz.

What's the difference between a jazz musician and a large pizza?

The pizza can feed a family.
