Just something to keep snow off of my bass when i bring it to school/travel. I'm thinking black friday will be a good day to buy one. Do stores like Guitar Center participate in them?

When i say cheap, i'm hoping for 50 or less...

I'm sure GC will have SOMETHING that will fit your budget right now, if not on Black Friday. Worth a look online, and using the "lowest to highest" filter.

you should try TB classifieds. Also, I just shipped a bass neck in a gigbag, that buyer may not have any use for the gigbag now. If you want his contact info, PM me.

Sounds like a job for the Warwick RockBag...I think they are around 50 bones. I had one and it worked great. I could ride my bike with it because it had backpack straps.

Fender gig bag for $18.55, I used to have one of these and they're really nice.

I highly recommend Carvin's bass bag, http://www.carvinguitars.com/product...ct=GB45&cid=49. Great padding, insulation, pockets, zippers, handles, shoulder straps, soft interior lining with reinforcement at knob and hardware contact points, all top-notch. Big bang for the buck and better quality than what came with my Classic Series 50's model Fender P (that bag's zippers are crap). I just bought a second one for gigs that I need two basses. 44 bucks new, worth every penny.

Depending on the model you get (and RockBags may all be like this), you might be able to get one with detachable straps. That's been a huge bonus for me.

Fifty bucks will buy a very nice gig bag. I paid that for the gig bag I used for my guitar (hate cases) and it's not the ultimate bag, but it's -really- nice.

Forum favorite Rondo Music http://www.rondomusic.com has some nice cheap bags.

I decided to go with this because they were cheap and they looked nice. Came out to $33 shipped. Not bad. Except i accidentally ordered the guitar bag, instead of the bass bag (i forgot a "1" in the item number). Course, i have to pay return shipping, $15, so it comes out to about $50 for this simple, $15 bag.

**** yea.
