Hey guys,

I'm having some trouble learning the fuzzed out bass solo in Radiohead's Exit Music (for a film), can anyone give link me to a free, user friendly editing program that can slow down the song?

Thanks in advance.

try this go to www.downloads.com or www.cnet.com and search on Musician's CD Player

I saw this there and it looks like it does what you want, I never tried it.

well i got exactly what you want!

go to: http://www.seventhstring.demon.co.uk/xscribe/index.html

and download TRASCRIBE! program

is so easy to use and it works with MP3!

it can slow the song to a 1/4 or 1/8 of the speed (and the pitch is the same)

itīs a trial demo

if you want it free go to: www.astalavista.com and download the key generator...

I just posted about this in another thread... go to www.softseek.com or download.com will probably have it too .... get slowgold ... you can convert mp3's to wav or use cd's and slow them down as much as you want without changing the pitch. You can also control the size of the loop(start point/endpoint) so you can even concentrate on a few notes at a time.

It helps you learn by ear from your favorite recordings.
This is the time proven method of generations of top professional musicians.
You can be sure that your favorite players learned this way.

You can slow music down without changing the pitch.
The slowed down sound is pro audio quality.

Also great for using tab or sheet music and playing along with the CD.
Play it back at any speed or change the key. Many looping and other practice
features.

This is the official transcribing software of guitar one magazine.

Also it has a nifty vocal/lead eliminator that works great on most stereo

There's a plugin for Winamp called PaceMaker. Works good, with you can slow it down, change the key and so on. It's on the pluginpage at www.winamp.com
