Hi Guys,
I'm a bassist, and a senior in high school, which means audition time is coming. the problem is, I really have no idea what to play. I have to play 2 jazz standards, one slow and one fast tempo, but I've really got no idea. I love bebop, so I've got some ideas for the fast piece, but i'm really lost on what to play for the slow song... what do you guys think?
A few of the songs i've been thinking about are:

Misty by Errol Garner
Doxy by Sonny Rollins
Blue Bossa
Cottontail
Jack the bear By the Duke
