and dont know why.

All my friends (college students) say that I must have a serious lack of taste in music.

I say "no way", because I like all kinds of good music.

Ehh, I've not been into them really since "The Bends". When I was in college alot of my classmates thought I was nuts, but just couldn't get into them.

My guess is that you grew up listening to styles of music that your peers didn't. If that's the case, you most likely were checking out groups that really had a concern for melody, harmony, and songcraft.

Once you get that kind of standard in your mind and ear, it's difficult to listen to RH, IMO. I spent some time listening to RH's material carefully, attentively, and with an open mind. No sale.

There's a lot of groupthink in the various media channels that asserts RH is the greatest and most artistically important group to ever walk the planet. If you're the only other person in the world to think that's not so, at least I have some company........

Probably because they appeal to a hipster crowd that normally looks down upon other forms of music and claims Radiohead is the greatest, most innovative group ever? I can say the same with Bjork, too. I know it's about the music, but people around you can sour the experience or make it all the sweeter. That's just how it goes.

That being said I like Radiohead. Never owned an album though.

What recordings have you heard? I found OK Computer in a used bin and bought it based on the critical raves. Three plays in, I thought it sucked. I put the CD in a pile to sell on eBay, but never got around to it. I started listening to it again about a year ago, and now I love it.

It really is just "different strokes". I'm not too crazy about most of their old stuff (it's good, but I won't actively listen to it) but I really love their later albums (Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief). A lot of interesting and unique stuff. I guess that's just what appeals to me. One of my friends isn't crazy about the new stuff, but loves the old straight up guitar-oriented Radiohead (The Bends, Pablo Honey, etc). It's all good!

I can't stand them either. It's mostly the singer's voice. But overall they just sound tediouos to me. Not interesting to my ears, just fatiguing.

I dunno much about Radiohead, never caught my attention I guess. What I hate, is people who can't think for themselves.

You dont need anyone else to justify your dislike of a band.

That said, I think sublime is seriously overrated. Oh, and I love Radiohead.

I kind of like them, especially OK Computer. I can see why they're not everyone's cup of joe though. Most non-bass players wouldn't like a lot of the stuff us bass heads dig, and I know a lot of people who couldn't stand to sit through listening to Silent Way, even though I think it's one of the greatest recordings ever. There are even people out there who dig Kenny G.

Never heard any of their songs. The 1st time I've heard of them was on South Park. Though i'm not about to go out and buy an album to see if i like them. Waste of money i say. If if I do find one cheap i might buy it.

Any songs I should look for on Youtube?
