All my friends (college students) say that I must have a serious lack of taste in music.
I say "no way", because I like all kinds of good music.

Once you get that kind of standard in your mind and ear, it's difficult to listen to RH, IMO. I spent some time listening to RH's material carefully, attentively, and with an open mind. No sale.
There's a lot of groupthink in the various media channels that asserts RH is the greatest and most artistically important group to ever walk the planet. If you're the only other person in the world to think that's not so, at least I have some company........

I can say the same with Bjork, too. I know it's about the music, but people around you can sour the experience or make it all the sweeter. That's just how it goes.
That being said I like Radiohead. Never owned an album though. |

Three plays in, I thought it sucked. I put the CD in a pile to sell on eBay, but never got around to it. I started listening to it again about a year ago, and now I love it.

I'm not too crazy about most of their old stuff (it's good, but I won't actively listen to it) but I really love their later albums (Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief). A lot of interesting and unique stuff. I guess that's just what appeals to me. One of my friends isn't crazy about the new stuff, but loves the old straight up guitar-oriented Radiohead (The Bends, Pablo Honey, etc). It's all good! |

That said, I think sublime is seriously overrated. Oh, and I love Radiohead. |

Most non-bass players wouldn't like a lot of the stuff us bass heads dig, and I know a lot of people who couldn't stand to sit through listening to Silent Way, even though I think it's one of the greatest recordings ever. There are even people out there who dig Kenny G.

Any songs I should look for on Youtube?
