We need to get over the prejudice that cheap gear = bad gear.

Cheap gear, maybe.

Inexpensive Gear doesn't equal bad gear though.

Eh, minger, that's just semantics. Seriously, though, Matt, you are right. How many here play Essex and like it. I play a 200 dollar peavey (though it is an old USA model Foundation) as much as I play my American Jazz.

Who has that prejudice? I am assuming that you include everyone in the "we", I don't have that prejudice. Perhaps it would better to say "I need to get over the prejudice that cheap gear = bad gear", if that's a prejudice you have.

Oh yeah, totally The Royal "we"! You know, the editorial.

No, it's a thing musicians do all the time. The image of an instrument, and so forth. Rouge basses and Crate Rigs. I had a Crate rig and it had some pretty solid tone. Not hugely punchy, but I had some pretty stellar tone when attempting certain tonal genres.

You're just saying that because there is no cheap gear in Australia...
