2) Your description is different from modern medicine, how, exactly?

Of course there is smoking things like meth and crack or snorting cociane, |

Yes, I understand. All non-medicinal drugs are bad. I hear jesus saves, too.

| | | | Nope. Drugs are THE SECRET to rocking. Seriously, I bet all the crack heads I ride the bus with can WAIL. >:P In all honesty, I truly think the significance of drug use in music is a tad overplayed. Honestly, if you give a man money, fame, women, and all else he could want, not much besides drugs remains as far as a "thrill" goes. I'm sure plenty of guys we'll never hear about who would even regard a joint as "hard drug abuse" are great blues players. FWIW, as with any drug, Heroin has many delivery options. It gets used IV so much because other delivery routes have a much lower bio-availability. That said, stay off the drugs. If it didn't rise from the earth in it's present state, it has been crafted into a poison. |

i don't mean to shut you down, but i am not interested in the moral implications or physical/musical repercussions of drug use, in the context of this thread. seriously...i'm not looking to be a d**khead.
thanks for the input.

If your theory is that any question posted on Talkbass involving drugs/alcohol will result in an pro drug/alcohol vs. anti-drug/alcohol argument instead of actually answering the stated question,I think you have your answer.
Totally off topic:What's up in your world? Still playing with Sonny Boy?

DONT DO DRUGS | sigh...again...this is NOT a pro-drug or anti-drug thread.
i don't give a poop if you like/dislike/use/don't use/advocate (or not) the use of drugs...
i am just asking the question: can you name a "great" blues bassist, who isn't/wasn't strung out on drugs/alcohol at some time in their career?
please try to stay on topic.
thanks...
