lowsound | Yeah it's the music video for A Certain Shade of Green from the S.C.I.E.N.C.E. album.

Record yourself when you get in your first band. Then record yourself in 5 years, then in 10 years. Then compare them. Things change, and people change. As much as you may think otherwise, most musicians are less concerned with your opinion of their stuff than they are concerned with how they feel about their own stuff. If you like the old stuff, great, but if wouldn't have changed would have doomed the artist(s) to fail and fade into obscurity.

the whole funk-jazz-metal thing was really cool and exciting in the 90's.. you know.. in the days when korn was popular despite being the sound of a crackhead stabbing himself in the face. but nu metal died and brandon cut off his dreads and got melodic. **** happens i guess.
edit: oh yea.. and ben kenney is a hack.

I have the "Make Yourself" album and I really like that though.

You should check out this band." And without fail, that band sucks.
I don't think it's an insult to say that early Incubus was perhaps the best of the FNM wannabe bands
I like Make Yourself too. Probably my favorite of their albums. Especially since I got a used Japanese Import version at Amoeba for $10 that had "Crowded Elevator" on it. I really thought that they were starting to hit their stride but then the next album was a bit of a step backwards. After that they changed significantly due to Dirk Lance leaving. |
