I play drums. I'll take the Fenders, the G&L, and the Roadster.

I'd seriously give up half my basses for people to start posting in the right forums.

Moved to Misc.

I know how that feels, I had the same problem for about 2 years straight. My current drummer actually started as a guitarist that we convinced to drum for us....he's actually getting pretty good in a decent amount of time.

Hang in there, ask around, and you'll find someone sooner or later

Luckily, I don't have that problem.

I wouldn't like to give up 1½ bass either... a ½ bass is pretty useless. (Bad joke of the day. )

lol

I definitely know how that feels. I've recently joined a band that isn't really even close to the sort of music I would normally play just because they have a drummer who NAILS the grooves and is a ton of fun to play with... and she's female, which is pretty rare and cool in it's own right.

My last 2 gigs have had drummer issues. I told my wife I'd give my left nut for a drummer who can play, show up, and have a stable life.

I gave up looking and am just trying to grow my own. I'm buying my daughter a drumset and lessons for her birthday/Christmas this year.

I have never had this problem with drummers. Guitarists on the other hand....

Makes me realize I've been lucky. Pickup gigs and jam sessions non-withstanding all of the drummers I've been in bands with have been relatively competent and sane, little loud sometimes. I'm too old to deal with flaky band mates anymore anyways.
