If combo amps were cars....

What brand would be the Lexus? The Ford? The Rolls Royce?

I am looking for a combo (200-300watt) and am curious what fellow talkbasser's opinions are on what manufacturer owns this segment of the market.

Who rules for a) sound & b) reliability/durability

If combo amps were cars, we wouldn't get anywhere because very few of them have wheels.

But if my grandmother was a schoolbus

If combos were cars I'd buy a truck.

There is a ton of great responses to this, but I just do not feel comfortable speaking ill of anyone's grandma. :D

If pizza were a fur covered flat tire I'd have two cold nickels.

If cars were combo amps, which would be the B100rs?

Balls, said the Queen. If I had them I'd be King.

If you'd have asked this;

I am looking for a combo (200-300watt) and am curious what fellow talkbasser's opinions are on what manufacturer owns this segment of the market.

Rather than this;

If combo amps were cars....
What brand would be the Lexus? The Ford? The Rolls Royce?

You might have gotten some answers by now. Just sayin'

For my money the two best 1x15" combos in that category are the 200w GK MB115 and the tc electronic 250w BG250. Depending on which tone and features you prefer either would be a great choice.

You're being a party pooper, Soulman. We were having good, healthy fun. ;)
