If you could no longer play bass

Sign in to disble this ad
OK, hypothetical question. Lets say you lose both your arms in a freak lawnmower accident, or your doctor tells you that if you ever so much as pick up a bass again your reproductive organs will explode with the force of a hydrogen bomb.

What would your reaction be?
What would you do?
I have to say that my reaction would be something like thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YersIyzsOpc

just curious...

I'd sing or play another instrument. Music is in me! Gotta do it!

If this guy can play guitar with his feet, maybe I can play bass with mine! Should be easier than guitar, right?

I'd buy a boat~ I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but it's the first thing that came to mind.

Take some voice lessons and learn to sing properly.
Get into composition and electronic music.
It'd be a shame, but I'd live.

If I lost both my hands, playing bass wouldn't be the only thing I could no longer do.

I didnt mean for the suggestions to be taken literally, they were just meant to be funny. I just wanted to know what you would do if you could no longer play bass.

I wasn't joking. I was genuinely inspired... or at least I would be if I lost my arms.

I'd upgrade my guitar gear and buy a digital Mellotron and continue to make music. I'd still have all my bass gear so I'm could find someone to come over and play bass.

My brother can't use his left hand right now and its driving him nuts, his Schecter guitar sits in its case while he regains his hand slowly.

Me? I'd freaking go nuts, I'd be depressed ...and I'd just hafta find something else. It'd suck double bad for me cos I just started
