If you could only play songs written by one person...

Hypothetical: for the rest of your life you can only play covers, and all the songs must be written by one person and one person only. Who do you pick?

I'd have a hard time deciding between Guy Clark and Cole Porter, would probably go with Guy Clark in the end because his songs are a lot simpler and I'm lazy, heh.

Maybe Paul McCartney, Neil Young, John Fogerty, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash...just off the top of my head. Good question!

Oh, Right...just one! I guess I'll pick Clapton. Covers a wide range of styles. Rock, blues, etc. It wouldn't get boring! But come to think of it, he played many covers himself. DANG! Okay, Neil Young. Final answer. Really. Unless I change my mind again!

Although being in a WHO cover band would be cool! But then there would be no Entwistle songs.

Even though you said one person, Lieber & Stoller wrote as a team and are two of the greatest songwriters in music history
