Who or which band would you play with? Why? What would you play on and how well do you think and your bass would fit in musically? Do you think you could add something to the music?
Without hesitation I'd say the Pat Metheny Group. Their music is indescribable, if I were a professional musician I'd want make music the way Pat Metheny and Lyle Mayes do.
I think that I would play a 6 or 7 string electric most of the time and an upright when it's needed. I'm confident that I would be a complete mess though when it comes to memorizing the song structures, lol. I don't think I could add anything to the music but it would be interesting to hear the bass take on a more melodic role in some of their music.

If I had the opportunity today, I wouldn't be able to handle it, but if God himself came down from the heavens and promised me a chance as soon as he thought I was ready, I'd never put my bass down again. |

He usually only plays guitar with another guitarist accompanying him, so I would fit in.
A tour playing with Great Big Sea or Marillion would be cool as well. |
