Mine would have been '76-'79 in New York City/east coast for the beginnings of the whole American punk rock scene. Maybe the Cali desert in the early 90s for the birth of the whole stoner rock thing too. I'd be happy with either one. |

NWOBHM would fit me nicely, and to be honest, I'd be good enough to play in most bands of the time. And if I got in with one of the lucky ones (Maiden, Priest) I'd still be going with a massive fanbase and tons of recognition. My Dad even says I look a bit like Algy Ward...

I can listen to a country song that's not popular anywhere outside of Texas and Oklahoma, record a cover of it at home with an extra verse inspired by a couple of lines from Nigerian rappers, overdub several bass tracks, ask guys from Scotland and Florida to guest on it, make a copy of the recording, send it to a friend and ask him to remix it in the style of a specific Mongolian pop/hip-hop track. All this is easy, and except for my DB and bow all the equipment was really cheap.
Will the future be even better? Yeah, probably. But it's impossible to really say, so I'll take right now.

So, I'd say 18-21 partying out til 6AM after gigging without missing a beat and getting right back out and doing it again with no worries, regrets or hangovers.

Right now , I'm very comfortable on stage both musical and stage presents. I wish I had that when I was in my 20's. Late 70's early 80's. I had bad stage fright, it took alot of booze to play in front of people. Now I just don't care

Of course the timeline would be completely different, but the looks on the audience's faces would be priceless! Then by Woodstock we could play some tunes from Counterparts!
Man, I've really got too much time on my hands!
