igig Bass gig bags

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi Gang!

I wasn't sure where to post this...........

As anyone used or purchased an IGIG Bass Gig Bag? They look cool & durable. I currently use an INCASE Slim bag.....but I thinking of upgrading and using the INCASE for my back-up bass.

The model I was looking at was the G315.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Kev

I have one. I have no complaints. I carry my P-bass, LMIII, cables, tools, tuner, strap (everything but the cab really) in it. It is holding up great. Looks like new actually. Not sure the model number but it is the "tweed" single bass one. No problems with any of my nitro-finishes.

Well, the owners are close friends of mine so maybe I'm a bit biased... I use the G515 in Tweed and will never look to another (well maybe the Black one or the G525 model). I've been using mine for 2 years now and it has performed flawlessly gig in and gig out. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the info.

Exactly the gig bag I was looking for, to store my cables, LM II, and Fender Jazz. I love my INCASE SLIM but there is no way the amp would fit in the gig bag without ripping it.....I have an older model which is about 6-7 years old. It protects the bass great.....but I couldn't fit the LM II in it. For bigger or outdoor gigs I use my Genz Benz 1200, so that isn't an issue! LOL

Thanks! Can I get a deal?

I have a tweed single bass model. I love it. I can put lots of goodies in the pockets, ie. cables, tuner, tools, wireless tx, etc....

It appears that the G315 just sores the bass, where the others G515 & up have the compartments to store cables, little amp, etc.

Thanks everyone.......I'll be on the look out for this! Sounds like a winner to me!

Easily some of the most capable gigbags around. I have a G515 and love it. I wish I gigged more so I could show it off . If you have so much stuff that it wouldn't all fit in this bag then you have too much, lol. It looks amazing, feels great, and protects a bass well enough to make a 4 foot drop seem like absolutely nothing. I know because it's happened to me. It's definitely on the heavier side of things but considering what it does as far as protection and elimination of extra baggage, weight is a small price to pay.

I just ordered mine via the company. Can't wait to receive it.

Thanks to everyone for their honest opinions.

The IGIG company is a joy to deal with.
Now I can sell my Incase Slim bag! LOL

I had one. Nice bag, but not what I was looking for ultimately. I have an Incase Slim as well. Be advised that while the iGig has some nice padding, it isn't anywhere as padded or ridgid as the Incase.

Tony, thanks for the heads-up. I'll wait until I receive the Igig bag before I sell my Incase Slim. When I owned my Sadowsky I had it stored in my Incase bag.......it fell off off a stage...about 5 feet down when we were packing up.....and thank God, nothing happened to the Sadowsky. It nicked the Slim, but the bass was fine..which is what we want the case/ gig bag to do.

I fell down a flight of stairs with my old MTD 635 in the Incase Slim bag, and no harm came to the bass at all. The Incase is, IMO, the perfect blend of hard case and gig bag. The iGig is far more gig bag than hard case, with a much softer, more flexible material. It has far more storage than the Incase does, though.
