Well, Alison has been working a lot in Nashville, and I plan to go to school and work in the area, so my theres a high possibility Ill be down. We plan to make the trip the week after Christmas, as Im off from school until after New Years.

I just need things to do, look into, and I would love to meet any of you guys out there!

Alison will be doing some work, and Ill be tagging along with her, maybe visiting some colleges, etc. I plan on making the trip to the Low End to finally meet Brian, and of course play some LEJs.

What kind of colleges are you looking into? What were you thinking about majoring in?

Good question.. Possibly Music Engineering, or some type of law related to music to be a manager or something.

I was just looking online and it says there are 41 colleges in the Nashville area. You should have your choice.

Just wait until you get into college. High school is a piece of cake compared to that.

nope...no colleges here man....JK....Belmont is the best for music...Performance or business. MTSU is much cheaper, good, but not as prestigious as Belmont. Tons of schools worth checking out though. But for music, those two are two of the tops here in town.

Ain't THAT the truth! I was able to be a significant goof-off and still get pretty good grades (not 4.0, but pretty decent). I tried the same strategy in university, and without my parents policing me, I reduced my class attendance to an occasional social event.

I guess they we're serious about the whole "academic probation" thing, 'cause I wound up out after 2 semesters. Took a year of community college for me to correct my cranio-rectal inversion.

Yeagh...college is significantly harder...

They could probably use a bass player 'cause you know there's thirteen
hundred and fifty two guitar pickers in Nashville.

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has a very well respected Recording Industry Management program. I started out majoring in it (Business emphasis...I actually thought I wanted to be an artist manager!) and kept it as a minor. You get classes in copyright law, publishing, marketing, the whole gamut. They also have a studio emphasis and I think a performance art emphasis as well. Most of the professors are industry pros. It's 25 miles to Nashville, easy commute. It's worth looking into.

Well, my parents just surprised me with an early birthday present! (By birthday is the 4th)

They gave me round trip tickets, money needed for the trip, etc., for the days of the 27th through the 30th! Im soo excited! If anyone wants to meet up, catch lunch or something, lemme know!

Ill be staying with Alison, and our guitarist and "big brother" Kyle. Ill have lots of down time, seeing Ali is working and Kyle is going to be at home the whole time, so if you have anything to do, lemme know!

Im going to try and get over to the Low End while down there.

I'm sure that NOBODY has mentioned Belmont yet, so I will.
