Can't find a band or any kind of work...

The last band I was in...when I was looking for bands I turned down several who were w*nk who I got in with immediately, there was one band who I liked but they didn't want me...the first GOOD band I got invited into I took...which was not too bad, we had some fun and sounded pretty good - but we only lasted a year because of work commitments...

...now my college band have split for a few months whilst the singer does his Elvis gigs in Cyprus, and again - I'm stuck without a band. I auditioned with a couple toward the end of last year...they were both pretty good, but for some reason I didn't get in with either of them, more recently I auditioned for a singer who was putting a band together (Eskimo Brit) ...didn't get in for some reason, and I've met up with one other band since then and they played me their stuff...didn't sound great, and they haven't been back in touch since.

WHAT SHALL I DO???? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? - just to make it worse, I've finished UNI now so I'm stuck until I find something, but I've been round all the recording studios and rung all the numbers (to which theres been one "We've been sorted for quite a few months now mate" one "Lets meet up" (that mediocre band I've not heard back from) and one "unobtainable".) and STILL not got anything...! I keep searching the web and cehecking the local "muso wanted" websites 2-3 times a day and theres been nothing that sounds any good (I don't just mean in terms of "music tastes" I mean "SOUNDS ANY GOOD" - i.e. has a chance of getting an agent or anything)

WHAT SHALL I DO??? (it's tempting to just give up now...)

you don't have to be the songwriter, just find a guitar player, a drummer and a singer and just jam...the singer can come up with the words and if you and the guitar player and the drummer jam, you can come up with something
