I love Dio but ive just heard a live version of Paranoid with Dio singing and it was a travesty, im sorry guys but Paranoid should only be sang by ozzy, call me old fashioned but im proud of it.
Dio had a better vocal range than ozzy but certain songs should be kept original, can you imagine ozzy singing Holy Diver (i dont think so ).
Like i said "Im Freaked Out"

Many times when our favorite groups get a new singer, it's just not the same.
Dio's original work with Sabbath was excellent. "Heaven & Hell" was great, but not Ozzy-rific. When he sang Ozzy tunes it was not the same.
When David Coverdale replaced Ian Gillan in Deep Purple, I thought the "Burn" LP was great. When he sang "Smoke On The Water" Or "Space Truckin'" in concert he sucked.
It's just something we must accept...

Dio is great man. Don't dwell on that performance.

Black Sabbath was is still Sabbath as long as butler and iommi are there. They're good without Ozzy to, but they're on another level with him

Back in 97 or so,my band opened for Dio,and somebody(??)kept yellin 'SAAABAAATH!!!' and he did a phenomenal Sweet Leaf, followed by an iffy Rainbow in the Dark. Go figure..

Alot of the Ozzy - Sabbath songs are or rather were too low for Dio's vocal range. Try not to be too freaked out.....
