Well, I've booked my first studio session! I'm going to be alternating between bass and drums and working with a guitarist and vocalist.

I'm scared and at the same time.

Recording is quite an education. My advice is: leave your ego in the parking lot, and don't get offended if the engineer/producer wants to change something, or wants you to try the same thing over and over. Remember you want a certain end result, whatever it takes to get there. One thing it will take is patience.

Well I've met the engineer and I've made it clear that we as a band don't want our work completely trashing and messing up to suit their view of what the music should sound like.

Otherwise I don't mind repeats and changing stuff. I have The Patience Of A Saint.

I'm sure the engineer loves you already.

This will probably be the most anticipated recording of the year here in TalkBass.

What? For the 'Crappiest Record on TB' award?
