I'm Going to Puke...The Bass That Got Away

Sign in to disble this ad
I just learned a valuable lesson. It is better to purchase on a whim and have buyer's remorse, than to miss the "one that got away." I've been looking daily for a 32" P-bass for two months now and found her this morning on EBay. $599 for a Fender MIJ, olympic white. Easily $150 under value and free shipping! I realized the deal in front of me but sent an email to the seller asking important questions about truss rod functioning etc... And then she was gone. Gone forever... I'm going to puke.

That's usually how it works, unfortunately.

Yeah, especially with eBay, PayPal, Buyer Protection, et. al.

Live and learn. Put that bass on your search list and let eBay send you an e-mail when another shows up.

Just did the same thing with a Washburn Force 8. Saw it, thought hard about it, then really, really wanted it when the auction was over. Maybe we only want it more when we can't have it?

Thanks, I never knew this before. This takes some of the obsessive behavior out of the game.
