Well, I nailed the audition. There was another bassist there, who claimed to have been playing for about 26 years - 13 more than I have. To put it bluntly, I smoked him (unintentional pun!). I kind of felt bad for the guy - he started packing his stuff up after listening to me play for only 10 minutes. I guess he knew he wasn't getting the gig.

So yeah. I am now two degrees of separation way from Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas. No joke.

I almost started playing with a hip-hop guy. This was before I was really into hip-hop, but hey, a gig's a gig. Now, for me, being a hip-hop producer/musician (maybe not rapper, that's a skill I don't really have) would be awesome.

Ah - check that. I am ONE degree of separation away from Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas. Apparently some of the songs are being produced by the same guy who's produced some stuff for them. Apparently they're famous or something.
