A friend of mine that I've been playing bass for in New Orleans is putting together a bass oriented children's album, on Disney Records. Already on board is George Porter, Flea, Mike Watt, Tal Wilkenfield, and others that I can't remember right now. I have just been asked to contribute a song that is going to feature each of these bassists - perhaps in a solo format, I'm not sure yet. Tracks are going to be emailed to me, I will record my part, and then send the audio files in to be mixed.
The only instruction I've been given is to "be myself". This is going to be sweet - my name is going to be on the credits right next to Flea's.
I lead a charmed life. I really do. |
