indie?

Sign in to disble this ad
can anyone recomend a really good indie band and a particular cd to buy? i know i like The Shins, Modest Mouse, Tegan and Sara, Bright Eyes, The Anniversary...but I am looking for something weirder or more outthere than these bands but not to the point where its just stupid. i bought the new reggie and the full effect cd and hated it. i don't know what cd to get because i've been listening to hardcore all my life and its extremely boring to me now? any suggestions??

Not meaning to hijack your thread, but I heard a funny line today............

"I'm so indie I don't even like garage bands 'cause the people in the neighborhood have already heard of them."

I have Songs Not To Get Married To and I like it

But some other indie bands to check out would be Metric, The Polyphonic Spree (if you are looking for 'out there' stuff), Spoon, Jem, and Of Montreal.
