Guitarists are poseurs or jerks.
Drummers are meatheads / oafs.
Keyboardists (esp. synth guys) are nerds.
...Bassists are dorks.
anyway I play all these instruments so I suppose that makes me all of the above

Bassists couldn't learn the guitar well enough so they play bass. |

Bassists- Oafs, High Foreheads, lousy guitarists, bad drunks. Drummers- Neanderthals, ignorant, like to fight, bad drunks, mentally insane. Keyboardists- Jerks, dorks, Homosexuals, space cadets. I do not personally agree with any of these but they are what I have heard.

Last band I was in the guitarists viewed the role of bassist as "necessary evil" I was expected to put on the show so the guitarists could get drunk and try to pick up chicks...
The guitarists didn't know that I also play a bit of guitar...at one practice I played some songs during a break and the rhythm guitarist asked me if I was planning on "moving up" to guitar... I just smiled...

Guitar player: The guy who gets stoned and watches tv all day and has hobbit feet because he won't wear shoes...
Keyboard player: The guy who owes everyone in the band money...lots of money...
Bass player: The only guy in the band who doesn't get stoned, the only one who works 40+ hours a week at a mentally and physically demanding job and still finds at least an hour a day to practice, etc...
And we all live together with few bad feelings. Except the drummer. Drummers are weird... |

vocalists aren't musicians
hehe...but they sure do qualify for many of the same qualities the other positions are known to possess.
Okay, that's all.
(I've known many vocalists that were more musician than most instrument players I know, so obviously not a legitimate stereotype, like the rest).
