For me it has to have been The Ox purely due to the killer lines he came up with. Scott Morris from the Bluetones and Mick Quinn from Supergrass were the ones who made me notice the Bass and really appreciate the sonic qualitys. In that sense I suppose they were the ones who "Inspired" Me to pick one up for myself.

This is alaways a peculiar question for me to try to answer. I could say a little of everyone but no one in particular.

I've never engrossed myself into learning any particular bassist. I have learned songs I like.

I have noticed a few players that I like what they have done. Those players would include (but not limited to) John McVie, T-Bone Wolk, Nathan East, Lee Sklar, David Hungate and many others. I can't say that emulate any of those.
