Inspiration needed

We've just written a power ballad. The problem is there are no lyrics for the last phrase of the chorus. I need a good bass tag/solo to cover the phrase. 4 bars at 80bpm, not much time at all.

All I got off a Google search was Grand Funk Railroad's Heartbreaker. I'd appreciate more inspiration points for the song I'm working on.

Are there any examples of bass players that have done this in the past? A short, amazing solo/tag that fits nicely in a power ballad.

Let's hear it and maybe one of us can help you out instead of trying to find a power ballad containing a bass solo we could give you a few examples of what we might try. There are many talented players on the site who I am sure would be glad to help

Just keep going at it Alex. Listen to the part over and over. Envision what you feel should be played there and then work it out! You can do it!
