What are or are there the latest bands doing instrumental rock that are not necessarily surf or jazz related?

You could always go to pandora.com and create a post-rock station (I based mine on GY!BE)...helped me find a lot of new bands to listen to.

I've heard the phrase "post-rock" kicked around a few times and never quite figured out who or what people meant by it. |

We do a cover of the Soft Machine classic Facelift. Hugh Hopper liked our version so much that he offered to do a solo on our version |

Post Rock- El Ten Eleven, Russian Circles, Tetra Fusion
Not Post rock - Steve Via, Niacin, Squarepusher |
